Analyze what impurities can be removed from water
by deionized water treatment equipment ? Deionized water treatment equipment can remove inorganic salts dissolved in water and small molecular organic matter dissolved in water when treating raw water.
Water treatment equipment dissolves inorganic salts in raw water: The inorganic salts in raw water generally include potassium, calcium, sodium, magnesium and other substances, and they all exist in the water as positively charged ions. When this water containing positively charged ions is used to wash semiconductor objects, these things will diffuse to the surface of the integrated circuit and cause a short circuit or burn the circuit board.
In the past, inorganic salts in water were removed by distillation, but even if the water was distilled three times, the resistivity of the water was only 3 megohm-cm, and the water still contained more than 0.1ppm of NaCl. Recently, reverse osmosis has been used for deionization. Therefore, ion exchange resins are used .
Cation exchange resin and anion exchange resin are used separately and are easy to regenerate. Mixed bed ion exchange resin is used at the final stage of ion exchange to play a gatekeeping role. The water produced in this way can reach 18 megohm- cm ( 25 degrees Celsius). Dissolved organic matter: industrial waste, detergents, biodegradable substances and microbial metabolic products. These can be removed by activated carbon adsorption. The carbon bed should be placed before the ion exchange resin because the activated carbon itself will bring impurities.
It is important to note that organic matter must be removed from the water entering the resin bed, because ion exchange resins are easily contaminated by organic matter (such as humic acid). Reverse osmosis can remove organic matter with a molecular weight greater than 300, and 90% of organic matter with a molecular weight less than 300 can be removed.
