Treatment medium and main process of water treatment
1、 Water treatment media and methods:
Quartz sand: remove large suspended solids, sediment and algae
PP cotton (polypropylene): filter rust. Impurities. Small suspended matter.
Activated carbon (coal shell, coconut shell): adsorb the heterochromatic odor in water, such as chlorine and its products.
Softening resin (sodium ion): it has ion exchange with calcium, magnesium and other hardness ions to exchange hardness ions in harder water to soften water.
Ultrafiltration (UF): remove colloids, bacteria and microorganisms in water, degrade turbidity and remove bacteria.
Nanofiltration (NF): remove calcium and magnesium ions and degrade the hardness of water.
Reverse osmosis (RO): degradation of salts in water.
Mixed bed (cation and anion exchange): remove soluble salts.
Electrodialysis (anion and cation membrane + ionization): concentrate water to remove anion and cation.
EDI (electrodialysis + ion exchange): remove salt, get high precision pure water.
Flocculation (with chemicals): can remove color, set colloidal substances, form precipitation.
Precipitation (with chemicals): degradation of turbidity, water clarification.
Gas explosion: release excessive volatile gas in groundwater to prevent it from participating in reaction and affecting water quality.
Biochemical method: culture bacteria to decompose organic matter.
2、 Water treatment process
The complete water treatment process includes three parts: pretreatment, core treatment and post-treatment.
Pretreatment: remove suspended solids and large particles, reduce the turbidity, color and taste of raw water. Such as mechanical filter (quartz sand), adsorption filter (activated carbon) and security filter (PPC).
Core treatment: remove microorganisms, bacteria, viruses, colloids, macromolecules, etc., such as ultrafiltration system (UF)
Post treatment: remove salts and small molecules to obtain higher purity water molecules, such as reverse osmosis (RO), ion exchange, EDI, etc.
